The production of copper and silver at the Montanwerke Brixlegg dates back to the 15th century. Today the Montanwerke are specialized in copper recycling. The harsh conditions necessary for this process can be seen during the tour, which also includes the opportunity to talk to the chemists about their work and the associated challenges.
