"As demonstrated by the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak rapid detection and identification of viral infections is a pressing human health issue. Faster and more accurate diagnosis will benefit health care systems and provides improved epidemiological data. In course of the present presentation, Prof. Peter Ertl of TU Wien reviews current Covid-19 test kits and evaluates them for point-of-care and on-site applications. In addition, he talks about recent developments and research results.
